Maintenance

The technical maintenance of the buildings and repair work in the flats are the responsibility of Joensuun Elli’s own maintenance personnel. The grounds of Elli locations are looked after by property maintenance companies.

Elli’s maintenance personnel can be identified from an identification card worn in the front of the jacket by everyone in the crew. The windshield of every car driven by the maintenance personnel displays the contact information of the person driving it.

When you have questions pertaining to maintenance services, contact the superintendents directly. The working hours of the superintendents and the maintenance persons are 8 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Thursday and 8 am to 4 pm Fridays.

ON-CALL DUTY
Report any emergencies that occur outside the working hours of the maintenance personnel to the maintenance person on duty, tel. +358 13 223 320. There is a maintenance person on duty 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The telephone number is displayed on the notice board and front door of every building. On-call duty is run by Elli’s own maintenance personnel.

On-call duty is intended for first aid in very urgent cases only. During their on-call duty the maintenance persons will only open locked doors and repair serious faults. For example, a clogged kitchen sink is not an emergency but a flooding bathroom floor drain is.

The repair services performed during on-call duty include the following:

  • Repairing an abrupt water leak
  • Unclogging a flooding drain
  • Repairing faults in the heat production devices
  • Opening locked doors
  • Repairing dangerous electric faults.

THE REPAIR NOTICE
In connection with the vacating inspection after the previous tenant has moved out, a repair notice will be left in the flat to let the incoming new tenant know what repairs are going to be made in the flat. These repairs need not be entered again in the new tenant’s tenancy card. The repairs mentioned in the repair notice will be made during regular working hours. The person making the repairs will use a passkey if the tenant is not at home. If you want to fix a precise time for the repairs, please contact the maintenance superintendents by phone or by email at huolto@joensuunelli.fi.
